Strawberry Park

The area known as Strawberry Park, just one mile from downtown Steamboat Springs, has one of the richest histories in the area. From 1900 to the present day, Strawberry Park has evolved from a strawberry farm and ranching area to one of the most diverse educational centers in Routt County. Starting in 1913 with the creation of the Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp, the Lowell-Whiteman School (Now the Steamboat Mountain School) in 1957, the Bear Pole Ranch and the Euzoa Church in the decades that followed, and the Strawberry Park Elementary and Middle Schools in 1981, Strawberry Park has always had deep connections with an education that focuses on the outdoors. The style of homes for sale in Strawberry Park are mostly larger single-family homes with primary residents of Routt County. Large acreage, diverse wildlife and natural beauty are the defining features of this part of town. The views from Strawberry Park are of Emerald Mountain and Howelsen Hill, the Steamboat Resort, the South Valley, and the sparkling lights of downtown Steamboat Springs. Surrounded by National Forest and BLM land on three sides, Strawberry Park allows access to Buffalo Pass, a popular recreation area, and the Routt National Forest just a scenic drive up Routt County Road 38. The world-famous Strawberry Park Hot Springs, located at the end of Routt County Road 36, allows the homeowner to indulge in what could be our most defining natural feature. Strawberry Park is serene and rustic, wild and filled with history, and is only minutes away from downtown Steamboat Springs and 15 minutes away from world-class skiing at the Steamboat Resort.
